My class has seven with special needs (autism, learning disabilities, non-verbal). They are six boys and one girl. They are students who love to learn, but need to have their sensory needs met before they can sit down and start learning. Due to their age three and four years old they have difficulties staying seated and focused on their work. For example they need a place to rest after they have had a melt down (tantrum). They need an area where they can sit down and relax.
