My students need three Vestibular Sitting Wedges and three Gaiam Stay-N-Play Bounce Balls, alternative seating to help alleviate fidgeting and moving around so that students can better focus on learning. I have students who struggle with self-control and can get very fidgety throughout the day. These ball chairs and alternative seating choices will alleviate their struggle and allow them to focus better on their class work. Ball chairs and air cushion "wiggle seats" have been proven to be an effective seating option for kids who have a difficult time focusing or staying put in their seats.
These helpful self-regulation seating devices provide subtle movement input (gentle bouncing and/or rocking) without getting up from your seat! The immediate benefits of flexible seating includes burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. It's not a surprise that physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. Help make this happen!
