Construction, architecture, and engineering students at the OHS Community of Schools will build their third Habitat for Humanity House this school year. These students attend the Math, Engineering, Technology, and Science School -- a campus of small schools who are part of the Bill and Melinda Gates Small School movement. Our campus of 5 high schools embrace project-based learning since converting to a small school business model 4 years ago. Proficiency scores on end of course tests have increased by 65% as a result of the school's transformation. Construction mastery level test scores have increased by over 100% since students became engaged with this unique, authentic, real world project.
