Students will be doing a rat dissection to learn all important concepts about anatomy, and most of the levels of organization of the living world, including body systems, organs, tissues, and cells. This project would helps students learn about the internal structures of animals (and the human body), about how the tissues and organs are interrelated, and it would give students an appreciation of the complexity of organisms in a hands-on learning environment. This project would have a huge impact in their lives, since it would be the first time that they will do a full dissection of a living specimen. In the end, they will be more curious and interested about science.
