The bands will allow my students to focus on their academics wihle also supporting their need to move. The bands will also keep students from getting out of their seats, which will decrease student corrective actions as well as increase instructional time. Last year, most of my students were unable to focus on their work because of their need to move. This slowed down instruction and increased infractions. I believe if they would have had the bands, they would have focused on their work and not recieved those infractions. With the bands, I can satisfy their need to move and reduce infractions.
