My students do not get the chance to learn using technology at home. My students are all low income and all are on the free lunch program. By funding this project, you will give my students the opportunity to learn using technology, which is essential in today's day and age. The students will use the iPad to follow up with topics that are taught in class, along with working on fluency of math facts, spelling, and reading sight words. I would like to incorporate the iPad into a technology center during my centers time in the morning. I believe that the students would love to have the opportunity everyday to work on the iPad and practice skills from class. Using technology in the classroom will help my students work on the specific skills that they struggle with, such as their reading and writing goals. My students get excited to use devices, such as iPads and the smart board. There are so many excellent websites and apps that I want to incorporate into the classroom. My students would be very appreciative if they were able to access these programs, and I know it would make a difference in their education!
