Students need personal space because making art often requires materials and tools like paint trays and tubs of water during the process. Larger tables are necessary for everyone, especially the upper elementary grades. Larger students need more space. Their projects are connected to content areas and tend to be more involved. Six students fit comfortably at these large tables. With an average class size of 25, large tables give everyone the space they need. I already have two this size, but I need 2 more to give everyone the same amount of space.
