By having my students read a variety of books from various genres and authors, I am helping open their eyes and minds to a wonderful world of literature!!! One out of six children who do not read by the end of third grade will not graduate from high school. The hope for all my students is that they will grow to love reading which will help them be more successful for the rest of their lives. Studies have shown that children who love to read enjoy school more! Please help my class get the books we need to continue doing literature circles so we can help make great readers out of these awesome 2nd graders!
