Our classroom boasts nine pottery wheels but, no stools. We are currently renting stools from a local supplier; however, there is nothing better than having our own! Students have enjoyed the challenge of learning to 'throw' and have created some beautiful pieces they are proud to call their own. Our pottery wheel experiences will be limited without seating that is comfortable and portable, as the rented stools must be returned at the beginning of our winter holiday! Wheel throwing is an excellent way for students to learn individual success and failure. The focus and concentration required to complete a successful piece on the wheel will translate into other areas of their lives easily! Your donation will enrich the classroom for many years!
