All of my students attend their classes primarily virtually, and I teach from home when I'm not in the field doing labs, meeting with students and educators, or raising awareness of the opportunities we provide. Since Covid, I have been using my personal computer, which is quite old and slow! A new computer will help me create lesson plans with modern technology, making virtual learning more dynamic and applicable in the future. It takes my current computer over ten minutes to even let me log in, so a new computer would make the work for everyone go much faster and more efficiently. The writing tablets will allow my students to collect data, work out problems, and sketch designs without wasting paper and markers, and the printer ink will help me provide printed materials when necessary (like practicing for AP tests) The nail gun will help me build lab setups like marble ball race tracks that will help my students understand conservation of energy and rotation. By providing more updated materials, you can help bring my virtual classroom into the new year, equipping my students much better for the future and providing high-quality labs even in distance learning environments. Help me move my virtual classroom into the modern era with an updated computer and other materials that will help me teach my students more effectively. I teach AP courses which require specific technologies that my students often struggle to access, and providing better technology for me will free up money for my students to access the technology they need.
