We are 21st Century learners in an outdated learning environment. I am looking to change our classroom environment into a Blended Learning or Cafe style classroom using technology in order to foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. I currently teach fifth grade at a school in Southern California that consists of over 70% English Language Learners. My students are very dedicated to their education but are limited by the resources we have available. I would like to create real-life workspaces they may experience once they graduate high school and college. This will allow them to use the technology tools we have and allow me to teach them to meet their individual needs, and prepare them for their futures. Desks are a way of the past. Help us create a realistic work environment that supports collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
