Kids are much more engaged in learning when the activity is hands on. All of the activities chosen will be used to target specific speech sounds (e.g., "Pop the pig" for kids working on "p" or final sounds, and What are they doing? to work on verbs, pronouns, past tense, etc.) Because students have even more catching up to do in the communication realm following the years of Covid-19, we need to get as many repetitions with each student as possible during valuable speech and language session time. These activities will help to decrease unwanted behaviors and to keep students engaged throughout otherwise monotonous sessions.
