Sitting still in one place for an extended period of time and maintaining complete focus can be very difficult for some adults... try a classroom with twenty 5th graders. New research is supporting the idea of flexible seating in classrooms. Studies are investigating the link between body movement and enhanced student learning. Flexible seating especially targets students with ADHD. Wobble chairs are a form of flexible seating that allow students to move while they work in a controlled and safe manner. I want to provide the best possible learning environment for my diverse classroom. Wobble chairs will give my students the opportunity to wiggle while they work so their minds can focus on the task at hand.
