The requested materials will enhance student learning by providing hands-on experiences with opportunities to program and drive the Parrot Mini-Drone Spider and Syma X5C 2.4G 6 Axis Gyro HD Camera RC Quadcopter with 2.0MP Camera. We will be igniting the academic potential of our future aerospace engineers by exposing them to drones and the fundamentals of flight! During this unit of study, our learners will evaluate the principles of aerodynamics such as thrust, drag, and lift while monitoring weather and wind speed/direction to simulate actual flight. In addition to gaining an understanding of flight and drones, students will be engaged in activities to expand their knowledge of the many uses of drones in society today and exploring the pros and cons of drone usage.
