Providing opportunities for my students to be comfortable and to choose how they learn is the definition of EMPOWERMENT. I want to empower them to find out what successful learning looks like for them. The mobile trapezoid tables will allow students to also work collaboratively with their peers and refine their social and team building skills. As a teacher looking back on my childhood, I can't remember a time where I was allowed to pick my seat so that I could learn best and I want my students to be able to have that choice! As a 5th grade teacher, giving my students ANY sort of choice or responsibility is extremely important to them. They want to be their own person and be independent. I can't wait to see how the mobile horizontal tables will change their outlook on my classroom!
