Flexible classrooms give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them. It also takes them away from the traditional desk and chair classroom. By having flexible seating in my classroom my students will be able to move around the classroom and be comfortable while they are learning. It will help provide a safe and welcoming learning environment. Pillows and backpatter seats will allow students to find a quiet corner of the room to work and sit comfortably or to sit at a low table. Wobble chairs, hokki stools and jellyfish stools are perfect for students who need to wiggle and use muscles to help them concentrate. Flexible seating will help my students work collaboratively, communicate and engage in critical thinking. It will also give them the opportunity to have ownership over their learning environment. It will help improve student engagement and it will create a happier learning environment for all students. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
