How often do you get lost in a good book and learn something at the same time? This book will help my students make connections to the real world as we complete our unit on energy by showing them that energy is more than just a switch you flip. We don't realize how fortunate we are to live in this country, and I want my students to be able to appreciate all we have while gaining a deeper understanding of renewable energy. This book will incorporate literacy into our science classroom and inspire students to reach for their dreams, use what they are learning to make a difference in the world, and know that nothing is beyond their reach! The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind brings the classroom to life. I cannot afford to purchase these books for all of my students. By donating to our project, you will help make the connection between reading and science, and allow each student I teach to have their own copy to use while we are reading the story of a teenager's achievement that changed his world.
