As a teacher and a lifelong learner, it is important for me to help foster a love of reading for students. Reading helps take children to different places without having to actually travel. With a classroom library that is filled with engaging and diverse children literature, I can accomplish my goal. Diverse books will help me to teach acceptance of human diversity and to encourage students to embrace culture. I can use them as read alouds and implement them into lessons, too. This will help create a culture of respect and acceptance into my classroom. Thank you for supporting my 3rd grade reading rockstars! It is truly appreciated!
