The Amazon Echo is a great resource for all subject areas during the day. The Echo will allow my students to independently check addition and subtraction problems during math rotations, combine up-to-date real time weather data with calendar time (connecting South Carolina state standards with technology), improve independence during spelling and writing times by allowing students to ask Echo how to spell specific words, and more. The Amazon Echo will allow my students to increase their independence skills within the classroom environment. This will also allow my students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to have greater access to resources that will help them to achieve their individual goals. Overall, this would be an excellent resource that would help my students gain independence while still receiving the assistance they need.
