When the project is funded, the students will use the materials to practice reading skills. The supplies will provide a hands-on approach to learning reading skills. The students participate in The Daily 5 structure during reading and these activities will be used during the rounds. Students will be able to use the phonics flip books and magnetic word builders to increase their phonics skills. The high interest fiction and non-fiction paired passages will be an excellent tool to use with the find the evidence clips in locating facts in texts. The reading comprehension and vocabulary games will provide fun way of learning new reading skills without the mundane pencil-paper worksheets.
