Donations to implement flexible seating in the classroom will help my students burn excess calories, increase motivation, keep students engaged, and even improve metabolism. Having flex balls for core strength, lap desks for those who like a quiet corner, and pillows to sit on at a low table gives students options for how they work best. Students will be able to choose a seat once they enter the classroom and having a choice helps shift students mindset. Students will feel empowered which in turn will increase their academic performance. Many students need an outlet for their extra energy. In the end flexible seating will let my students work in a way that will improve not only their academic performance and really makes my classroom a student centered environment.
