The TI-84 graphing calculators will be used every day in our math classes. The students will be able to manipulate and solve higher level problems in a more confident manner. With your donation, the students will have access to the tools they will be using in the 21 Century world of STEM technology. With the transition to Common Core mathematics, students have been given larger, real-world problems that require the use of technology at an earlier age. Introducing graphing calculators in the classroom means that by the time the students graduate to college and or technology careers, they are able to use the technology and can focus on learning mathematics or developing solutions in their career fields. Providing low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future, which will prepare them for a continued life of learning.
