Having access to an iPad on a daily basis will give student the opportunity to research books and check books in/out on www.follettdestiny.com Interacting with the website that has previously mentioned will help our students increase their independent reading. It will also help students to work on comprehending and reading texts fluently as they search through the catalog. In addition, daily interaction with this website on an Apple iPad will help me keep track of their progress as they read independently. Furthermore, I will be able to use the data from the website to determine which books they need to research based on their reading level scores. The Apple iPads will also help reinforce student research in the library. In addition, these Apple iPads will increase our mobility of checking student’s library material in/out, help them research books through Destiny Catalog and Discover on their reading Lexile scores, and reserve materials.
