A document camera would be a very beneficial addition to the technology in my class. It can be used in many ways in my first grade class. As a teacher of young children, I am constantly modeling for my students the correct way to do things. I can use the document camera to show them how to correctly form letters. As my students become writers, they are eager to share stories they have written and this would be possible for them to project their stories so that everyone can see them. It can also be used during math time to show how to use manipulatives to solve math problems. Often it is difficult for all of the students, in a class of 23, to be able to see what the teacher or student is modeling or sharing. This camera would increase the engagement in my class!
