I believe that students deserve to feel excited about learning! Providing manipulative materials, such as base ten sets, that allow for hands-on learning of concepts is one way to create enthusiasm and promote student engagement. Maintaining student interest is especially important during this time of distance learning when we are not able to be together in person. Learning virtually means students cannot share materials as they would in the classroom, which leaves students limited to the resources they have at home. If we can provide this valuable math tool for each student we can ensure that meaningful learning will continue this year!
