Students today have so much to learn and coming to the library, while an extension of the learning in the classroom, feels like a break to them. Hawthorne students love coming to the LLC and one of their favorite things is finding a comfy spot to read. Right now, we have a few flat beanbags that are splitting at the seams and a couple of sad, old couches with the backs falling off. The library is truly the heart of the school. Physically located in the center, it is also a space that all staff and students use every week of the year. The soft seating in this project will give students new, colorful, comfortable places to sit and lounge as they read and learn!
