Number the Stars is a novel that will enhance discussion about how people can make decisions that affect other's lives. The students are in a Title I school within the city of Philadelphia and conversations need to be had about how one person's actions can impact someone else. Students do not have access to a school library, so this is the only way some students will be exposed to different ideas and concepts. Reading novels will help broaden the students' minds! A great novel like Number the Stars will make students more aware of the world around them and how they can play a part in that world.
