We have a group of seventh graders who are eager to learn but are stifled by the lack of technology. As we prepare our students to be life and college ready, it is absolutely important that they are very involved in using technology. They are very well versed on their cell phones and their tablets but they need the experience with an actual laptop computer so that they can write emails and papers that are grammatically correct and be engaged in math simulations and lessons online. These computers will ensure that our students are engaged in highly effective research, writing essays that are of proficient level, and connecting their math knowledge with real word experiences. Students are generally more motivated to learn when they are using the computers; our students with Special Needs and our English Language Learners are better able to communicate and excel with the use of this technology.
