Many of my students request to share a meal (breakfast, snack, or lunch) with me. The games and fun books spice up our time together at lunch and also during classroom lessons, small groups, and individual sessions! The students often come in with a lot on their mind and while they eat they enjoy having books read to them and enjoy playing games while we meet. During my classroom lessons, the students love being read to and I love sharing books that teach social-emotional skills. I also use books in my lunch bunches and small groups to teach and model social-emotional skills. I am also requesting an off-brand MacBook charger to keep in my "classroom bag" as I move from space to space to allow my materials to stay together, but also allows me to keep my main charger at my desk. This will allow me to use my computer in classrooms for presentations in classrooms and with groups to show videos, work on online emotional curriculum, etc. and have a charger at hand at all times so my services are not hindered due to a lack of computer charge. Also, I use games to teach a variety of skills; taking turns, patience, sharing, handling disappointment, and managing emotions to name a few. The addition of these games would be much appreciated by my students! The students even helped me make the list!
