I am requesting technology to help interactively teach students their letters, sounds, and sight words. Letters Alive is a technology program where students put a letter under a camera. The letter pops up on the screen. Then, it shows students something that starts with that letter and makes a sounds to match the picture. It does a lot more than this but this is key to helping teach students that are English language learners. This is also great for my students that have speech needs. They can clearly hear the letter and the sound that is says. It also helps struggling students learn by sight and sound. Again, this project will make a difference in my classroom because it will help students that are English language learners, speech students, students that are struggling learners and all students in general. It will interactively teach them letters, sounds, and sight words in a developmentally appropriate way.
