It is so important for students to develop number sense. It is even more important for children to experience math using hands on activities that require children to communicate with one another. I am hoping to fund math manipulatives that develop number sense and support my whole class number talks program. This will help all of my children as they explore the four basic math operations. Students will use the number disks to explore and confirm their understanding of the place value system. The dry erase materials are used for students to defend their thinking and present their ideas to classmates.
