Because I am an intervention specialist, I work with students on IEP's who have special learning needs but are still included in the general education classroom, I do not have a classroom of my own, therefore, I pull my students out of their classrooms and teach them in the large hallway outside of the classrooms. By using this cart instead of bags to carry my materials around, my students will have access to a greater variety of school supplies including their workbooks, educational games, a white board to write and work examples on, and a better overall learning experience that mimics their classroom experience. My students all have special learning needs and the whiteboard would be an absolute Godsend! Right now I try to write on a little 8X10 inch whiteboard but since my students are special needs students, it is hard for them to see it and I cannot write very much at a time on it. I also have to hold it up for them all to see. With a large whiteboard like this, I would be able to write and they all could see it at once. I could also use chart paper with the three lines on it to show my students who are still learning to form letters how to write them on the lines. This would make such a difference to them! With all of the storage on this cart, I could not only carry my students workbooks but a lot of learning supplies such as educational games, flash cards, extra paper and pencils, small white boards for them to work on, math manipulatives, and a whole lot more! This would really assist my students in achieving their IEP goals!
