Our school is full of amazing students who are motivated to learn and become the best that they can be! Most of our students learn best when they are able to participate in hands on activities. We would love to have a laminator that our school could use in order to assist us in creating hands on activities for students to use year after year and create a learning environment where all students can succeed. Tell me I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn. There are so many ideas that we have to use our laminator for. At the lower grades supplies that can be made using the laminator are creating index cards with spelling words on them. This will allow students to practice spelling there words by tracing them with their finger or dry erase markers in a small center group. There cards can be easily wiped away and given to another student to practice. This can also be used for math facts. In the upper grades the laminator will be used to assist all students with new material being learned. What a better way to learn than to be given tools to use on a laminated sheet that students can easily write on. Students within our school are provided with an intense reading program called Wilson, which helps students to learn how to read words. Having a laminator would allow us to create cards with words on them that students can write on with dry erase markers to practice breaking apart words by syllable. Your donation will help us to engage our students by giving them a fun and enjoyable way to learn new material.
