I am writing this proposal to purchase Wacom Tablets to use in our graphic design computer lab. Our school is a small, growing Charter high school. Our High School is beginning its fifth year serving grades 9-12. Our School serves a low –income minority population. The school is committed to high expectations, social justice and college readiness. I teach the digital media classes, as well as a student newspaper elective class at our school. These classes provide the students the opportunity to learn about a variety of software, such as Photoshop, Dream weaver, Flash, and In Design. These are industry standard in any graphics department. I also incorporate critical thinking skills in the context of design and journalism. My background is in Fine Arts and I incorporate these elements and principles into the course on a regular basis.
