The materials I'm requesting are games and activities that can be played during math and literacy centers. In my first year at Yaquina View, I was saddened to find that this newly reopened school had few materials and supplies to support student learning. As I entered my classroom in August, there were no math manipulatives, books, or literacy supplies. I have been left to my own devices to provide such items and my own pocketbook has been significantly impacted as a result. My students deserve to have games to play while interacting with their peers that support their learning. Many of my students do not have any learning experiences outside of school, coming from homes without books or other educational materials. I would love to give my students the fun, engaging learning opportunities that these games and activities will provide so that my students can become academically successful.
