My students need access to a Microsoft Surface laptop so they can learn to use the computer to type out their stories. The students will be working towards independent work so they need to be able to use the computer for writing, testing, and school projects. A laptop will allow my students to access technology in the classroom. At the present time, we have very limited computer usage. I would like my students to learn to use the laptop as a tool for their learning.I have seen the benefits of students having access to laptops. They will be able to access the programs that we use on the computers such as ABC mouse and Starfall for reading and math. Students being able to publish their writing in a program such as Word, would make the finished product so much more polished. I feel like this would give my kids confidence as authors.
