My name is Ms. Wright! It is my first year teaching, and first grade is an exciting, challenging learning experience for me. While math is fun, teaching reading is my main focus with these kids because they are building their foundation for the rest of their learning careers. Learning to read is the basis for a student's ability to read to learn later in their schooling. If they cannot read, they won't be able to gather information from materials, which will leave them behind their peers and make it nearly impossible to catch up. I believe that every child deserves to have a teacher who loves them and makes them feel important and valued every time they come to school. School should be a safe and fun place because so many kids don't have environments like that outside of school. I greatly appreciate any help you can give me to help my students grow and learn in a safe and fun way!
