The bee bots will make a difference in my students’ learning by increasing student engagement, providing authentic practice of math, reading and language skills, and developing knowledge of robotics and programming. In station activities, students will read stories, determine the plot of the story by sequencing the events, and write programming for the bee bot to travel the same sequence of events on a floor mat with correlating picture cards. They will solve math problems and write programming to move the bee bot to the correct solution. Students will then apply their programming knowledge to design challenges for their classmates, developing higher order thinking and problem solving skills.
