Learning to read is one of the most important aspects of our curriculum. Using a variety of methods to teach reading skills in essential to making learning fun and engaging. I would like to incorporate technology into our learning environment and prepare my students for modern day learning. I am requesting 5 Kindle Fire Tablets to create a listening reading center for my students. I would like to provide my students with an opportunity to listen to stories and use educational learning apps to reinforce skills taught in the classroom. With the use of the Kindle Fires, I will be able to create daily center rotations that expose my students to reading and listening books. This will allow more time for guided reading groups while providing engaging learning activities.
