Technology is an invaluable resource in the classroom. My students are excited to implement technology in their learning. However, we lack enough supplies for them to do that. I would like to have devices in order to complete more research based projects as well as have the students work independently at their level on assignments. The iPads in the classroom will also help my students to develop cooperative learning skills. Technology will enable ALL of my students to access learning at their level in order to grow. My students will be able to use iPads to develop new skills and improve on existing skills in order to achieve appropriate growth for the year. They will be able to complete activities like writing and illustrating their own books where they take ownership in their learning and are excited and proud about what they produce! The addition of technology would give my students a much needed boost of practice in the areas of listening and speaking. Students who are confident in their listening and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace. The use of technology will help my students to learn about the world, many of my students are limited to their community in which they live not allowing for cultural growth. Exploring the world through technology in the classroom will expose my students to new things and ideas.
