This school year has presented many challenges due to the number of students who are remote learning. I teach 17 homerooms and do not have a classroom. I move from room to room on a cart. Our district is also using an asynchronous model where we are teaching in-person and remote learners simultaneously. Sharing my computer screen on a Zoom meeting presents an even greater challenge to effective teaching when only one monitor is available. Having two screens will make it possible to share my screen with all my learners, while still be able to see my students beautiful faces on the Zoom meeting. Sharing my screen is essential when I am modeling the activities my remote learners will be working on. Having two monitors makes it possible for me to model the activity on one screen, and still be able to see my class on the other. This way I am better able to address when students have questions as we are working.
