We use Bluetooth technology often in the gym for videos and presentations for the students to interact with and perform. A clumsy laptop isn't ideal. Being able to carry an iPad around as we perform different tasks does and it allows us to change what the students are looking at immediately with out having to stop and move to the keyboard. With the continued emphasis on technology the addition of an iPad will allow the students to help create content which will give them more ownership of individual lessons. The iPad is perfect for elementary students due to its size and easy to use capabilities. It is something we have wished for in our gymnasium.
