Students will find movement and comfort in a chair they can rock. Rocking student chairs create movement in a non-distracting way. Our middle school students do not have recess but still require some purposeful movement and comfort. When students are comfortable they are engaged. When students are engaged, they feel successful. Successful students are open to academic challenges. We want our classroom to feel inviting and to be a place where students want to be, not just another ordinary room with restrictive seating options. "Rocking and reading our way to success" will be the new motto of our reading class.
