My school is the only Title 1 school in a suburban district, therefore it is the most needy and is lacking many of the things that could help make my students more successful. We have a very large ESL population. However, my school is very close knit and families and friends always feel welcome and take pride in being part of the community. What our school does not have monetarily we make up for in support and pride and therefore it is one the best places I have ever experienced to help a child succeed. We truly live by the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child. I am currently raising a village of 5th graders.
