Help my kids learn to build our future! I teach art to children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. My school is a supportive and cheery environment for all ages, but a lack of funding is a problem. A large number of families here are not able to provide their kids with a wide variety of stimulating experiences outside of school. Over the years I have seen a dramatic decrease in the number of kids who understand how to build and tinker. They are not familiar with the most basic concepts of balance when using blocks. While they may tie shoes, they can't tie string onto a stick. I am trying to deliver our art curriculum using as many manipulative projects as I can. Thank you for giving us a hand!
