As an advisor, I play multiple roles in my students' lives. I help my students find internships based on their interests and develop projects that they plan and execute. I also facilitate workshops on interdisciplinary subjects ranging from environmental justice to financial literacy. Rather than teaching content and honing in on one subject, I teach the connections between math, science, reading, writing, history, and social justice through interactive lessons and experiential field trips. My classroom is a space where students are free to express themselves and transform as individuals and as a community. I prioritize creating and maintaining a space where students see themselves reflected in their books, their learning materials, and in discussions. All your donations help me make this possible!
