All children want to learn, but not all children have the choice of how to learn. These flexible seating options will allow students the ability to choose their learning spaces and seating options for maximum focus, and attention to their work, while still maintaining their need to "move." Students will be able to select a traditional chair or and an "active" stool. Research shows that "providing student choice in the classroom is a form of student-centered teaching that is intended to increase the student's level of learning and sense of ownership in the classroom". ~Duane Turner Flexible seating will allow for whole group, collaborative work and students working on their own. These seating options will provide an opportunity for students to choose a space that is best suited for their learning needs.
