Some of my students have strong sensations and use their mouth a lot to explore their environment. The Chewy Tube and oral brush will let them satisfy this need in a safe manner that will not distract them from learning in the classroom. My students also learn best when they are able to move around a little. The T-stool and wobble seats will allow for this, while simultaneously enhancing balance skills that my students need. Some of my students have auditory processing needs, and certain sounds can make it feel like an unsafe environment for them. The noise-canceling headphones will help them feel safe during moments like these. These materials will help my students with significant sensory needs feel safe and comfortable in their leaning environment so that they are able to gain and retain knowledge. My students will be able to fulfill their sensory needs in a way that enhances their learning instead of distracting them from learning.
