We have misplaced the developmental needs of our young learners. They need time to explore, reason and use their hands to make discoveries that will carry on into their adult lives. I have a blended class of 1st and 2nd graders in a diverse and rather eclectic population. We are part immersion and neighborhood programs blended together in a very inspirational setting. My children love blocks and animals, play-dough and puzzles. I hear them conversing with each other to solve problems or to help out when they feel a child may be stymied by the task at hand.

About my class
