My students are all faced with different learning challenges than most. They struggle with Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, ADD, slow processing speeds, and many other disabilities. In addition to these challenges, many of these same students do not have access to technology at home and therefore, rely on the school. Access to technology is a need for all students, but today, I am asking for help in my classroom with the special education students. The use of apps that are available for students with learning problems are by far a gift to the teachers but even more, a gift to the students. The use of these apps can either make or break a students' ability to decode words, memorize math facts, or just comprehend a science concept. With the use of technology, I can differentiate instruction, get a snap shot of exactly where the students' need support, and provide 4 mini lessons all on different levels at the same time.
